[ . . . right. well, shinobu told her this much so - ]
... not all of them are that firm, so far.
I told someone my power and team [because she's lili an, so why wouldn't she] and so far nothing's happened to me. But I'll let you know if I suffer a punishment.
When I spoke to a director about it, they said that secrecy is still something to keep in mind. But I personally think it's immoral and wrong in this case.
The rule doesn't say that there'd be a direct punishment about revealing your power or team. I hope nothing does happen, but that would be good to know, if something does. Thank you.
[ She smiles and nods. ]
I asked, too, and the one I asked said they'd advise against it since they don't know why we would, but there's nothing they can really do to stop us from sharing. I'm still not sure why we shouldn't. If this is supposed to be something enjoyable to pass the times, what harm will there be in sharing this information?
I thought the same thing.... which actually makes me wonder something - would you consider the power that you were given to be something that's meant to be offensive? Could you hurt someone with it?
[admittedly she knows that some powers could possibly be used in different ways for different reasons but,]
Not inherently... but it could be. I've been asking others, and it seems like maybe half of us have non-offensive powers... even though they can be used creatively to possibly hurt another.
But in the setting I was in last, we were at least given a list of possible powers people could have, and what they were capable of. They varied from simply annoying to destructive.
I wonder, with all of us paranoid and distrusting of this place, where that creativity will lead?
[ It's both a real and rhetorical question. ]
Can I hear examples of the powers from your previous location? I'd like a better frame of reference even if the abilities given to us here are nothing like where you were.
Of course. We were given elemental powers along with more specific powers. For myself, I could wield ice and summon poison. Another could summon meteors out of the sky, another could make someone act stupidly. One allowed you to turn into mist and another allowed you to suppress someone's emotions.
[fun fact she hates all of these]
They're all rather horrid. None of them were ever truly useful.
[even if she struggles to entirely believe in it.]
However, in this situation when we're not expected to be doing anything but play idle games, and the directors were the ones who bestowed their powers upon us - why would they be dangerous at all?
It is - and it's why I've told them repeatedly that I'm not going to trust them until they prove that we're really here for... I don't know. Any decent reason?
[and it sure is hard to believe in that right now]
I'm giving them a week - but if they disappoint me, I'm not going to forget it.
[ . . . . yeah. she sighs and lets her shoulders droop]
... I told them as much. That if I end up disappointed after all their promises, I'm going to be even more furious. So until we find out what happens, I'm not going to believe in them or else I'll be all the more tempted to knock them out.
If they know everything about us and what we've been through, they should at least be more understanding about how unwilling we are.
You would be right to be furious. [ Shinobu would be equally as furious. ] I'd hate for them to be more understanding only when we all have to experience all that murder again.
I'd hate it even more if they truly are trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
