[ as much as i would love to say that he would, he doesn't. he doesn't even think to comment about how nice it is. anyone else with a pair of eyes might say something but not this one here. he'll give a curt nod to her. ]

[ he raises his arms up to examine his clothing for a moment. the red on red is probably a bit much but he's fine with it. it's all sentimental to him. ]

I hadn't expected to find this. [ he lowers his arms. ] Did you find anything else besides your clothes?

[ It's fine. She doesn't expect him to compliment her. It would make her think a pod person replaced him if he did.

She holds out her sword. ]

I received this and some beans. It's curious how those were delivered separately. Did you find anything besides your sword?

[ She is assuming if she found hers, he found his. ]

[ giyuu gestures to the sword at his side and brings out a familiar pouch to her. she should be able to recognize it easy enough; it's the same one that he had from the island—mao mao's chocolates. there is no joy in his face when he shows it to her. ]

In light of what we learned about some of the people here, I don't think it would be wise to leave it sitting around.

[ you know, bc thot demons and all of that. why did that have to happen in the first place? ]

You'd be correct about that, but it's better that we learned sooner rather than later.

[ Cursed knowledge is still knowledge. Shouldn't he know that better than anyone else?

She's thinking for a second until she asks: ]

[ She doesn't know how many are in that pouch. ]

One of the people I'm sharing a cabin with is from that ship.

[ or two. taako never outed himself about being on the ship but escha sure did. either way he opens the pouch for her and she can see that there are several pieces—likely around twenty or so pieces. all of them small and bite size. ]

[ clearly he's letting her have some first before asking questions. ]

[ Taako's denials more or less confirmed he was on that ship, if no one else from the ship told Giyuu he was.

She grabs a third of them. ]

If we stay here for longer than necessary and if things turn for the worse, I want to see if I can combine it with a byproduct of castor beans.

[ She needs to find the proper equipment for it first, but her sword sheath can do a little of the work. ]

[ giyuu doesn't want to think too hard about who was on that boat but he knows enough of the people. ...and sadly, he doesn't mind any of them. wordlessly, though, he watches shinobu just take them from the pouch and he doesn't stop her.

there's still more than enough inside of the bag...more than needed. ]

What would you be making?

[ because giyuu is not someone who has any medical expertise whatsoever. he can do basic first aid with what he has available but nothing on his own. ]

Something two-pronged or that has two effects, if it's successful. If it's not, then I'll just have two different compounds instead of one.

[ She smiles. He'll never know, but she's thinking about the anti-Muzan hybrid drug with some satisfaction. ]

At the very least, I'll see if I can have castor oil.

[ That's less dangerous. ]

[ hm.

sometimes it's honestly fine wit knowing less than more in this situation. giyuu is just going to nod and accept that he may have contributed to shinobu making something terrible. ...but at the same time he knows that she wouldn't. the point is not to hurt anyone.

so, instead, he'll move to why he was looking for her. ]

[ The point is to have something just in case. It may or may not even work. She may not even be able to do what she plans.

She looks at her scrunchie. ]

It did. I assume everyone's did when the rules were modified.

[ it only makes logical sense that what happened to one of them happened to all of them, well, in this context given what they're being told. will be told? and true to form with everything that he has been saying so far—he will be completely transparent with her. ]

[ If they're going to be transparent, will they be even more so? ]

[ blue? okay... the scrunchies really do look the same to anyone else other than themselves. still, true to his word: ]

I was given the ability to affect someone's emotion. [ a moment as he tries to explain what he read simply. ] I can either drain it partially or entirely for a week.

[ slight irony that it's giyuu who would become an emotion vampire. ]

[ She doesn't miss the juxtaposition, that someone who shuts away his emotions would have this ability. ]

Mine is to make someone unable to sleep. I wonder if it's random how the abilities are meted out.

[ sleeping. hm. shame there's no way of knowing if there is a pattern among the colors with just the two of them. ]

The only way would be to ask, but given the instructions, I doubt many would say anything.

[ and there's no way in hell giyuu is going to be able to squeeze that out of many people. ]

Until they give us incentive to use them and until people start using them, I won't be in a rush to ask everyone.

[ It would be good to know more, but they all need time to adjust. She doesn't want to increase the paranoia by asking so many questions just yet.

[ he'll nod. it's a fair pace to set things as they are, however he does want to put one thing out: ]

If anyone asks me about mine I won't hesitate to tell them as long as they exchange what their's are with me.

[ because obviously most, if not all of them, here know how these sort of things work. it's good to exchange information but that information should also come with stipulations. ]

[ Shinobu nods. Giyuu is free to do what he wants with sharing information about himself. Isn't it that she told him to keep the information about the island under check that meant they couldn't find him out sooner rather than later? ]

I still don't know why they're so insistent about the secrecy, if this is supposed to be all games, but everyone is likely thinking similar things.

[ About the potential of murder. ]

[ the secrecy thing really rubs him all of the wrong ways. the shiftiness of it all. the fact that they're saying one thing but also repeating some of the same things others have experienced.... ]

After what we've been through, the last thing needed are more secrets.

[ hopefully it won't take them long to band together, though, there is the concern about the rules. ]

It's what's being encouraged much to the frustration of many.

[ She's included in that. ]

I'll try to talk to them again, but I am not expecting many more answers.

[ Hope for the best but expect the worst. ]
