[ shinobu is going around, looking for lup, wherever she is. she calls out softly. ]

Lup-san.

[ her concern is clear. ]

[evocationary]

[she's just sitting in a hallway somewhere with her knees pulled to her chest. she doesn't say anything, but she's here!]

[wisterin]

[ oh, lup. shinobu sits down near her but not too close. she will take this moment to check lup over to make sure any wounds from yesterday that can be seen are doing as okay as they can be and not worse somehow. ]

If it's better I leave you alone, I will, but I wanted to see how you were doing.

[evocationary]

[her wounds are about the same as yesterday - her face isn't bleeding, but her side wound looks like it might have reopened at some point.]

Um. [...] Bad. Is how I'm doing.

[wisterin]

[ lup, your side wound. shinobu wants to take care of that, but also, ]

Did you two become closer, living next to each other?

[evocationary]

... Sure.

[she says, after a moment.] I liked him a lot. I don't know if he liked me.

[wisterin]

[ softly: ]

I think he cared about you just as much. When you all came back yesterday, it was very clear.

[evocationary]

[her ears go bright red at the tips, and she just - starts coughing? orange and blue petals.

this does not help her bleeding side probably]

[wisterin]

[ her alarm and concern spikes, and she hovers a bit closer, keeping an eye on the bleeding side. ]

I am sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen. I simply wanted to ease that one feeling.

[evocationary]

[she spits flowers to the side, dragging in a deep breath, and then:]

Ahah - hah. No, I know. [another cough. she just slumps against the wall.] It's... it's okay. It's fine.

I'll believe that a little more, if you let me tend to your side.

[evocationary]

Do whatever. I don't care.

[wisterin]

[ this is worrying but understandable.

shinobu will be very gentle but quick and deft with the treatment. after she's done: ]

What do you care to do now?

[evocationary]

[thank u shinobu, her hero.]

I didn't, um. I didn't have any sort of plan.

[wisterin]

You don't have to have a plan. A feeling is fine. We can continue to sit here and do nothing. Or I can find someone you know better to sit with you.

[evocationary]

[another little cough.]

Just... just sitting here is fine. [she doesn't know how to say that she doesn't feel like she's worth the company without it sounding really pathetic!]

[wisterin]

Then, please pardon my company.

[ she's fine vibing here. she doesn't really want to leave lup alone, so long as lup isn't tell her to go away. ]

[evocationary]

[she sits in silence for a long while, and slowly she just sinks further and further against the wall.

and then, finally:]

You don't have better things to do? [this sounds so rude, but she doesn't mean it that way laughs]

[wisterin]

[ it's fine. she watches lup sink for a bit but makes no comment.

without missing a beat: ]

You are better things.

[evocationary]

[oh... that's really nice of her. her ear flicks.]

Mm. Well. Yes. [but she's only halfhearted about it. she's too tired to do the whole boosted ego thing.]

[wisterin]

I wanted to spend some time with you. That's all.

[ there are many things to worry about, but shinobu doesn't want to lose sight of people. ]

[evocationary]

You don't have to, um. You don't have to do that, I'm not going to fall to pieces.

[she coughs.]

[wisterin]

You don't have to be close to falling apart for me to care. If my company does more harm than good, I'll retreat, but as long as I'm able, I want to live by my family's principles.

Okay. [she doesn't have the energy to fight it. and it's not so bad to not be alone, so.]
