[ they are in the employee lounge for whatever reason. shinobu is looking at the corkboard full of drawings, but she turns to greet cloud with a smile. ]

[ let's pick wednesday and regret it when something horrible happens tomorrow ]

A lot better than I'd have adjusted to being dead. [ ha ha. ha? he's looking around the lounge in very mild interest ] Anything about these drawings stand out to you?

I, for one, am relieved you are still alive.

I want to say I feel like as if I should know what these drawings mean, but it may be wishful thinking.

week 3, monday

[ wow here they are in the opium den because setting memshares in random places is hilarious ]

Because we needed people getting high off their minds here, too, on top of everything...

The cannabis can be good for pain relief.

[ this is the reason shinobu is here outside of just exploring. ]

I would like to get rid of everything else.

Pain relief, huh? First time I've heard of it being used for that. [ mostly because weed does not exist in ff7 so he only knows it from redacted. ] But I can agree with the rest. This is the last thing we need right now.

[ he kicks one of the hookah machines lightly, and some stardust puffs out of it to cover both of them... and shinobu has heard enough about shinra that she can see a fun cutscene that is eNTIRELY shinra being cartoonishly evil sure. and also maybe the important detail about how SOLDIERs die young of cell death. oops. ]

week 4, monday

[ it's almost like a repeat of last week except they're in the opium den on the station instead. ]

Why is this a repeat location?

[ why. why are there so many opium rooms. ]

At least this one can't be used for murder.

We didn't even need the first one. Do you think the hotel reuses locations?

week 4, saturday

shinobu is visibly tired and sad and mad, and she manages a smile that conveys all that when she sees Cloud. ]

That was too much, wasn't it?

[ cloud mostly looks tired when he nods at her ]

... No kidding. These get worse every week.

weel 5, monday

[skyagain]

[ shinobu what does it feel like to see a real first aid station. cloud's looking at it pensively ]

Too bad we can't bring anything back.

[ the yearning on her face is unmistakable. this is her at every previous game with a first aid location. ]

It's like they want to taunt me.

[ this is the closest to a pout she'll ever get. the icon is much more serious than her real expression but it's all i've got. ]

week 5, thursday

[ something hilarious about cloud seeking out someone to check on them and then being absolutely terrible at comfort. but. whatever, he still does. ]

... Mind company?

[ he will still check if she'd rather. mourn alone. ]

[ if shinobu were in a less emotional state, she'd appreciate it so much because it's a very sweet gesture.

she is curled up next to the trunk of a wisteria tree. ]

[ her voice is quiet, sullen. ]

week 6, saturday

[wisterin]

[ shinobu is just sitting somewhere, looking thoughtful with some tea. she'll look up whenever she notices cloud. ]

... Is it terrible if I don't feel the worst for that result, Cloud-san?

[skyagain]

[ cloud shrugs at the question, coming to sit down with her ]

If it does, then we can be terrible together.
