Shinobu isn't really looking for a sword in particular, but when no one knows if murder is imminent or not, she can't afford to be lax in her practice. Even if she doesn't have her Breath still, she can still fight.
She's looking for an empty spot devoid of anyone, so she can be alone, but wherever she's going, someone is somehow always there?
And now, Yasusada Yamatonokami is here. Wherever here is. ]
[LET'S SAY that for some weird reason they're out by the isolation cabin, because that's likely their best bet at being alone. Why is Yasusada out here? Probably just nosiness, honestly. Unlike certain cultivators, he kind of just. Does things.
Anyway. He looks surprised to see her, but not in an unpleasant way.]
Oh, hello. [He smiles, then tilts his head slightly.] Are you lost?
[ She looks down at the sword sheathed at her side, but she's in a kimono. How this is going to work is.... a mystery....! But Shinobu can figure it out. ]
[It's only because Ookurikara and Lili immediately took off to investigate that Yasusada's even still here. There's a restless energy to him, though--he, too, can't stay still, and he's pacing in front of the cabins, his grip occasionally tightening where it rests on the hilt of his sword. He notices her approach, but it's still a little startling when she speaks to him, and he blinks to snap himself out of his own thoughts.
He doesn't have a good answer, though, and he looks down at his feet.]
...I don't know. [He replies honestly, lifting a hand to press against his chest.] It hurts, here.
[IT SURE IS. Yasusada struggles with it a little more than the rest of them do, probably--but that's because his focus is, and always has been, on being a good sword. His humanity, or lack thereof, was never really a problem before.]
...Even if it was foolish, I wanted to trust them. [He hadn't seen any reason to be hostile to their hosts; what good would that do them? That said--] But I can't really say I'm surprised, either.
[...He didn't expect it to be one of his own, though. Even if they weren't particularly close.]
[Hello Shinobu!! Yasusada's probably on his way back to his cabin by now--he nyoomed pretty quickly after trial, but he's back, and he still looks very tired and upset. He looks over when she calls his name, and nods a little bit, stopping to let her approach.]
[Hello Shinobu!! A man is dead today. That's tragic, but when Yasusada approaches her, he will attempt to reach out and pat her head with his non-dominant arm. She probably can't see the bandages on the other one underneath his haori, but it's clear that it was ripped and stitched up since they last met. Please do not lop his arm off for headpats, he's already experienced that once this week.]
[ if you need another day, lmk! give me whatever memory you want.
It's raining a lot. Everything is wet. Where are they? Does it matter? It's fine because Shinobu greets Yasusada no matter what, but before she can even smile or open her mouth to say anything, a memory comes forth.
Yasusada can see that Giyuu has a precedent for breaking rules and that Shinobu is very easily annoyed by him. Not necessarily because he broke the rules but just because he's him. ]
[TUESDAY IS FINE also Shinobu is so mean I'm in tears. I LOVE HER SO MUCH, poor Giyuu.
Anyways, let's say that they are in the clothing store, because why not. Yasusada turns to her as soon as he notices her nearby, and then it's MEMORY TIME.
This is--there's a lot happening here, but mainly Shinobu insulting Giyuu?! WHY. Yasusada blinks, when the memory ends, and looks at her in confusion.]
At some point, though, probably after letting Tsurumaru destroy him with sword vs. dagger so that they can pretend they don't have hearts for a while, Yasusada will come find Shinobu! He looks tired, but thoughtful.]
Kocho-kun, can I ask you something? I'm not sure if you can answer.
[ Hearts can be so very complicated and so very heavy, and Shinobu has never once tried to pretend she doesn't have one, but she can understand that sentiment in others.
If he has too many wounds from his fight with Tsurumaru, her usual smile of a greeting shifts to one of concern. ]
[It's fine, they insta-healed. Even if they took a little while, he probably stayed with Tsurumaru long enough that he's fine now, aside from the still-bandaged wound on his chest.]
...If I asked if you weren't alone when you killed Yu-kun, would you be able to tell me the truth?
[ Monday sure was a lot! Monday sure is a lot! Since this PC is supposed to take plae on Monday.
Shinobu saw Yasusada leave right after all the announcements, and she had to answer any questions thrown her way, but after a while, once she has more time to herself, she goes searching for a sword.
After scouring Campsco, she goes through the portal to the castle. Where is a yams....? ]
[MONDAY SURE WAS A WHOLE DANG LOT wow!! It was far too much for one puppy sword to handle, so he'd taken his wolf ears and his fluffy tail and yeeted himself through the portal, and... stayed there.
How strange; even after everything the castle put them through, even though he'd been punished for the strength of his devotion alone, it still feels so much kinder than the camp.
He's passing through the foyer when he hears her outside--even after six weeks at the camp, he'd still spent more time at the castle, and it's easy to find his way around. He looks subdued as he emerges, and he can't hide the hurt in his gaze, but he approaches without hesitation and tilts his head. She might notice the faint scent of lemons.]

It's all right not to know. It's all right if it hurts. Being angry is normal. Being sad is normal. Wanting to do something is normal.
